Financial Aid

Our goal is to make it financially possible for all qualified students to attend Hawkeye. Financial aid programs are available to assist you in meeting the difference between potential resources and college expenses.

We are here to help you understand your financial aid, budget your resources, and loan management. Most of your questions can be answered without an appointment by giving us a call, sending an email or text. If you feel you may need more specific assistance, such as completing the FAFSA application, completing verification documents or have a special/unusual circumstance, you can schedule an appointment with our office.

Your Success Is Our Focus

We are here to help you succeed here at Hawkeye Community College and work very closely with the Academic/College Success Advisors to provide wrap-around services to all of our students. From crisis intervention, assisting access to emergency funds, to referrals to internal and community services, we are here to help. Connect with your Academic/College Success Advisor.

Announcements

2024-2025 FAFSA

The FAFSA application has received a significant update and is now available to complete.

Federal Student Aid (FSA) has begun its soft launch of the 2024–25 FAFSA, during which time the form will be available on a limited basis as Federal Student Aid unexpectedly pulls it down periodically to perform maintenance and address potential and known issues coming to surface. If you experience this, please try again later. See 2024–25 FAFSA Issue Alerts for status updates and resources related to the 2024–25 FAFSA launch.

Students and families will have ample time to complete the 2024–25 FAFSA and do not need to rush to fill out the application immediately during the soft launch phase. See 2024–25 FAFSA Soft Launch Details and Timelines for more information.

See Changes are Coming for the 2024-25 FAFSA for more information.

Student Loan Payments Restart in October
