Starting a Club or Organization
学生 clubs and/or organizations can be an important part of student development. 俱乐部 and organizations provide students the opportunity to:
- Interact with faculty, staff, and students.
- 追求特殊兴趣.
- Learn to work effectively with others.
- Become actively involved in extracurricular activities.
- Gain meaningful life experiences.
Types of 学生 俱乐部/组织
Professional and departmental clubs/organizations are designed for students intending to pursue interests which contribute to their chosen career field and their career development.
加入 scholastic honorary clubs/organizations is based on academic excellence and achievement.
服务俱乐部/组织 are designed for students wishing to contribute to Hawkeye and/or the community.
Special interest clubs/organizations are designed for students wishing to pursue a particular interest or vocation. Examples include political clubs, club sports, multicultural clubs, etc.
Registering a Club/Organization
俱乐部/organizations interested in registration and thereby funding, and various on-campus benefits and privileges, must register through 学生领导委员会 by 提交ting the following completed forms:
- Advisor Agreement form [pdf]
- 登记 and Roster Form [pdf]
- 宪法草案, 包括目的, 会员资格要求, organizational structure and proposed objectives or activities. See sample constitution [pdf].
Club/Organization 登记 Process

The 学生领导委员会 will review the registration materials and vote on the registration of the proposed club/organization.

The designated group advisor will be notified when the 学生领导委员会 will vote on your club/organization registration. You must send a representative from your club/organization to this meeting to answer questions relating to the establishment of the club/organization and its purpose.

All registered clubs/organizations must develop a club/organization web page on the Hawkeye website. Contact the webmaster with the following information:

- Meeting Information including date, time, location of at least the first meeting of the semester.
